Under my tutelage, Paulie made the most delicious Sheppard’s Pie tonight....behold...if you'd like the recipe, just ask.
3 lb 85% lean ground beef
1 med onion - chopped
10 oz package frozen peas
10 oz package frozen corn
15 oz can mushrooms (your choice of type)
5 med potatoes - boiled and mashes
1/4 cup cream or milk
1/4 cup chicken stock
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 tbsp butter
3 tbsp Wostershire sauce
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese for topping
Salt & Pepper to taste
Saute ground beef and onions, drain off extra fat. Combine cooked ground beef with frozen peas and corn, cream of mushroom soup, chicken stock, salt, pepper, Wostershire sauce. In a bowl, mash potatoes with butter, salt, pepper and cream/milk. Place meat/veggie mixture in a 9x12 pan, cover with mashed potatoes spread evenly and top with shredded cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until the cheese has become the crispy topping of your preference.
