Easy Recipe - Wild Blackberry Syrup

Paulie picked 2 cups of wild Blackberries, I created this beautiful syrup:
  • 2 cups Blackberries, rinsed
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • Juice of one Orange
  • Juice of one Lemon
In a small sauce pan, place blackberries, sugar, orange and lemon juice and cook on medium heat stirring constantly for 6 minutes.  Don't walk away, this will boil over!  After 6 minutes of boiling, remove from heat and allow to cool.  Once cooled, puree using an immersion blender then press through a fine mesh strainer (the kind you'd use to dust powdered sugar over a fancy desert) to remove the seeds.  I gave the seeds to the chickens as a fun summer treat. Keep refrigerated for up to 2 weeks, if it last that long.  This photo is of the syrup over vanilla bean ice cream.  Enjoy!

  1. Yummy!! Can't wait to try! I have a quick question for ya'. What is the best way to follow blogs? I LOVE blogs just like I do FB, IG, YT, but their updates are so "there". I can easily check who has updated or added information. What is the best way to keep up with blogs and their postings? Thanks in advance for helping me out with this. :-)

    1. Thanks Diane, it could not be any easier to make - less than 10 minutes if you can get someone else to do the picking! I find the best way to follow blogs, at least for me, is via email. This way a notice is sent out automatically around 2:30 am and waiting for you in the morning to read. I hope this helps.
      :) Natasha
