Scalloped Potatoes


  • 8 small potatoes, pealed, sliced thin on a mandolin, soaked in cold water to rinse out some of the starch
  • 2 cups of 2% milk
  • 1 teaspoon of kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or 2 cloves of graded garlic
  • 1/2 jalapeno pepper diced
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Bake in a shallow wide pan for even cooking at 425 degrees till bubbly and potatoes cooked through
