Sign-up for TRUE BLOOD themed Tag swap will be open on a first come first bitten basis. If you love the show or Charlene Harris' Sookie Stackhouse book series, this is your chance to show your creativity.

Theme: True Blood (HBO Series) Make a tag highlighting what this show means for you - love, adventure, mystery, supernatural, whatever that might be.  Don't forget to keep the challenge below in mind when creating.

June Tag Swap hosted by Arlene - MyButterflyKisses12

The theme was French Postcard and the challenge Collage.  My recipe:

• Staples postcards in matte white, image of Carte Postale from The Graphics Fairy - http://graphicsfairy.blogspot.com/

• Postcards glued with Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive to medium weight chipboard of same size (5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches)

• Postage stamp cut with my Cricut using the Gypsy to size it to .82 x .82 inches from the Sweethearts cartridge by using the new hide feature so only the outside is cut

• On the cut out stamp I added an image from a Studio G stamp set with photo images which also has the little camera I used in the lower right hand corner

• The postage stamp was then adhered with dimensional adhesive and overstamped with a postmark stamp from Inkadinkado #8376 (2 of 4)

• Eiffel Tower image, along with all the images on the back, are from Graphics Fairy, printed on parchment paper for an added vintage look without having to use ink

• Edges of the front were rubbed with Vintage Photo Distresses ink using a finger dauber

• I left a personalized message ‘I Love Paris' in French for each of the people in my swap group

• The back has a floral note card glued and French text inked on either side of it with a collage of vintage French advertising and my personal information for the swap.

Bona's Birdcage Card Swap June 2010

This is my contribution for the Birdcage Swap Bona is hosting for June.

• Chipboard background covered in Lindy's Stamp Gang's Starburst Stain in Wisteria Purple Blue
• Birdcage cut from Tim Holtz Sizzix Alterations die in white lightweight chipboard and hot glued on 2 half circles for dimension
• Bird's nest made out of white eyelash yarn with 3 purple pearls for eggs
• Purple bling added to the bird's eye and in the center hole at the bottom of the cage
• Purple grosgrain ribbon pulled through the case holes and cut on both edges for a finished look
• Top birdcage hole covered with a white petal flower and a purple mini brad adhered with hot glue
• Back of the birdcage has personal information and swap details

My Treasure Chest Full of goodies..

This Treasure Chest is from AC Moore, a whole $1!  In it I now have my May Swaps - ACT from Your Paper Pantry and Bona's Bird Cage Card.  I think I may go get the rest of these to hold future swaps.... there were several different designs.

The Pretty Paper Boutique May Tag Swap

Marie hosted a Tag Swap on her blog - The Pretty Paper Boutique. May's theme was Vintage Lady with use of doilies and lace. I used a photo of my maternal grandmother Larissa and her sister from 1923. The two lovely ladies went to Paris to go to Finishing School to learn how to be good wives and mothers. Sadly my great aunt passed away before having a family. My grandmother was a fabulous woman who was in my life all too briefly. I have glorious memories of her. She made me a new dress every year for my birthday and I have an adorable denim mini and jacket that she made for me when I was 5! I love having these pictures of her as a beautiful young woman.

March Tag Swap hosted by Arlene

I participated in the March Tag Swap hosted by Arlene of ButterflyKissesWithLove. The theme was “Asian/Spring/Flowers” and the Challenge - “Green” to welcome springtime.

I used the following:
• America Crafts White textured card stock to cut the tags on my Cricut with the design made on the Gypsy. The tags were cut at 6 1/4 in by 3 1/4 in. I cut 2 for each - a front and a back.
• The front was edged in Peeled Paint and Tea Dye Distress Inks, then Glimmer Misted with Honey Dew and Wheatfield.
• The back was run through Cuttlebug folder - Japanese Scales, edged in Peeled Paint and Tea Dye Distress Inks then Glimmer Misted with Honey Dew and Wheatfield.
• The koi on the front was cut on the Cricut from the Pagoda cartridge at 2 inches and Glimmer Misted with Lemongrass. The only other addition is a bling for the eye.  Bottom of the front has PRIMA glitter ribbon in black attached with Glue Glider Pro adhesive.
• On the back, bamboo shoots were also cut from Pagoda cartridge at 4 inches and Glimmer Misted with Wheatfield and Honey Dew - in that order.
• The Konji symbol on the back means - WOMAN, cut from Pagoda and Glimmer Misted with Lemongrass.
• Circle punch of black card stock with my name and YouTube channel and a small butterfly sequin attached with a tiny brad.
• Fibers are from Creative Fiber Arts, THANKS Terry. Metal charms are Blue Moon - Pagoda and Good Luck with some green/jade beads. The giant faceted bead at the bottom is from the florist department of Wal-Mart. The chain is also Blue Moon and attached to the large eyelet with a Tim Holtz tiny safety pin.

UBER UTEE Cranberry Tag

For the Finish it Friday on Roxy's My Paper Pantry site I finally completed the tag I starte almost 2 weeks ago for Sarah in Scottland.  I used white card stock run through Cuttlebug Conversations Hearts folder.  The ink distressing was using Adorandak Cranberry reninker and Copper Mixative, both from Ranger.  The fibers are from eBay seller - homebasics.  The flowers are Petaloo and a couple of small Prima felt embelies.  The rest of the details in the vid below:

A Tag for my dearest Tony

My dearest friend Tony passed away unexpectedly in September and I feel his absence daily. It's only fitting that I make an album with all the wonderful memories I have of him. To start, I created this tag from some white card stock which I ran through Conversation Hearts Cuttlebug embossing folder. I used Adirondack Ink in Lettuce, Mixative in Silver combined for the metallic background. The edge was UTEE's after distressing. Embellishments are PRIMA felt flower boarder, Petaloo flowers, Recollections giant black bling brad, Cricut butterfly & key covered in Glossy Accent. The four little hearts are the negative from the keys I cut with my Cricut. The charm is felt heart and several beads from my jewelry making stash attached to a giant lobster claw clasp through the large eyelet hole at one corner. Several coordinating fibers pulled through the eyelet round out the look. The back of the tag will be used to journal a lovely memory of the last time I saw dearest Tony. My heart has been broken since you've been gone....
