Our Egg Gifting 'Girls'

From front to back are Nellie Frittata, El Loco and Nana Janet in the back
The big orange 'chick' is Omelet
From the left are Yitza (eggs in Russian) & Nugget with tufts of feathers like a beard on her face
You should hear them chat to each other
They look like they are very interested in something right outside their playpen
You can really see the tufts of feathers on Nugget in this photo
This one was shot so fast, one of the orange chickens looks like had no head...

  1. The chickens looked cooped up with no space to roam around. How big is your coop? If you don't mind me asking. I say that because when my grandparents had chickens they could roam the yard and go in and out of their coop.

    1. This is just their play pen, the rest of the house is not in the photo. They are in the garage for the winter but free roam during the day in good weather. I've checked with several seasoned chicken farmers and have been reassured that if they were stressed we'd know based on their egg production. Thanks for your concern.
