My Favorites - Lilacs

Double petaled ones are heirloom variety
The scent is intoxicating to me
Hubby brings some home daily in the spring for the
few weeks they are in bloom
Purple variety is more fragrant than white ones

    They are so beautiful and I am SO jealous!! I can almost smell them through the screen.

      Lynn, thank you, they smell divine! As a child I dreamed of having a home where I can hang my laundry over a field of lilacs, alas, that is not possible but I still adore the scent.

    I love, love, love lilacs and that is one of the reason we bought our home. We have a big lilac tree in the front and a small white lilac tree too. I wish there season was longer as I love the fragrance. Ours don't bloom until June, tfs and reminding me of what I have to look forward soon if summer/spring ever comes.
